Virgin Mary

Instructions

  1. Mix. Whisk the tomato juice, lemon juice, Worcestershire, hot sauce, horseradish, celery salt, and pepper in a pitcher.
  2. Chill. Refrigerate at least 1 hour so the flavors blend.
  3. Rim the glasses. Run a lemon wedge around each rim and dip in celery salt.
  4. Serve. Pour over ice and garnish with a celery stalk and lemon wedge.

Hosting tip: Set out olives, pickles, and cooked bacon strips as a garnish bar. It turns one drink into an activity.

Make it ahead

The mix tastes better after a night in the fridge. Make it up to 2 days ahead and stir before serving.

Great for

Serve it at Dry January parties and game day. Planning the whole drink table? See how to set up a mocktail bar, and use the party calculator to figure out how much to make.

Questions

Is a Virgin Mary vegan?

Not usually. Most Worcestershire sauce contains anchovies. Look for a vegan Worcestershire if guests need it.

Can I batch this ahead?

Can I make it for more people?

Yes. Use the servings button next to the ingredients. Every amount updates automatically, from 1 glass up to 200.
