Instructions

  1. Simmer spices. Simmer water with cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, ginger, and pepper for 10 minutes.
  2. Steep tea. Turn off heat, add tea bags, and steep 5 minutes. Remove bags.
  3. Add milk. Add milk and sugar and heat until steaming.
  4. Serve. Strain into mugs or a slow cooker on warm.

Hosting tip: Contains caffeine. Decaf black tea bags work the same way.

Make it a day ahead, refrigerate, and rewarm in a slow cooker 1 hour before the party.
