Strawberry basil spritz

Instructions

  1. Blend. Blend the strawberries, basil, lemon juice, and syrup until smooth.
  2. Strain. Strain into a pitcher to remove the seeds.
  3. Top. Add sparkling water right before serving and stir once.
  4. Serve. Pour over ice and garnish with a halved strawberry and basil leaf.

Hosting tip: Frozen strawberries work fine when fresh ones aren't in season. Thaw them first.

Make it ahead

Mix the juice and syrup base up to 24 hours ahead and refrigerate. Add sparkling water only when serving.

Questions

How do I keep it fizzy at a party?

Keep the base and the bubbles separate. Put the base in a dispenser and the sparkling water on ice beside it, so each glass gets fresh fizz.

Can I make it for more people?

Yes. Use the servings button next to the ingredients. Every amount updates automatically, from 1 glass up to 200.
